Installation: Download Tasker from the Google Play Store.
Set up the demonstrated task: This one will be much quicker if you followed our previous demonstration since the task itself is already created.
- Launch Tasker and click on the + to create a new profile. Name is accordingly. I named it Calendar Mute.
- Next, select State then click on App then Calendar Entry
- Next, put in the title of Staff Meeting to identify what event to silence.
- Lastly, after back out you will select the Silence task from the list. (Visit the Silent Night post and video to see how to set that up)
If you create a calendar event in your calendar app with the title of Staff Meeting, during that time frame your phone will be silenced.
In Conclusion: Simple tasks to have a piece of mind during critical events of your choosing. You can make this more universal by not adding a “title” variable but adding a “description” instead. If the description has something specific in it or a location even. Lots of possibilities. Also remember that these tasks can be overridden at any time if needed. That is key to know. Thanks.
