How to Manage Passwords

November 9, 2010 by chrisadmin

How to manage your never-ending passwords using my all-time favorite free password manager: KeePass.

If you are like me, you have way too many different passwords to remember.

I have used KeePass for years, and the nice thing about it, is it works cross-platform in my environments (Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X, Apple iOS, & Linux). With KeePass, you can remove all of them darn passwords from your head so that you can use that brain power for creative thinking!

For more information, check out KeePass’ website: keepass.info

For Apple’s version, check out KeePassX website: keepassx.org

In order for all of them to be synced up, I keep my KeePass database in DropBox. KeePass remembers the last database that was open and tries to reconnect to it the next time you launch KeePass. This makes it super handy to quickly access your password manager at anytime.

What do you use for password management?
